First with abacus we thought that it might be too overwhelming for David because of his ADHD. We were really surprised that he caught on so quickly and how much he's changed in the last 3 months. I contribute that to the abacus program.
When we do the homework, in the beginning it is a little bit of a power struggle but he learns that there are benefits to it. He is able to concentrate more and it helps him with his other schoolwork too because he learns how to concentrate from doing the abacus homework.
